St. Bonaventure, NY.- The Mercyhurst women's tennis team fell in a close 4-3 battle to St. Bonaventure on Tuesday afternoon. The Lakers are 5-5 with just two matches left this season.

How it Happened:
The Bonnies took the doubles point as Tamara Bachmann and Kelly Barnes defeated Sara Bertolez and
Kiersten Brown 6-2. The Lakers fought back and tied it at a one a piece as
Andjela Mrvaljevic and
Daria Rogova beat Kashish Bote and Sienna Smith 6-2. But Isabella Venter and Cirkeline Lundberg clinched the point for the Bonnies with a 7-6 win.

In singles, Murphy fell to Smith 3-6, 4-6 and Bertolez lost to Bote to give the Bonnies a 3-0 lead.
Daria Rogova continued her impressive season with a big 5-6, 7-2, 6-4 win over Lundberg to give Mercyhurst their first point. But Venter clinched the matchup with a 4-7, 6-5, 6-3 win over
Kayla Dean.
Kiersten Brown grabbed one of the Lakers' other two points 6-2, 6-4 and Mrvaljevic earned a forfeit win.

The Lakers are set to wrap up their season with two matches this weekend. First against Duquesne on Saturday and St. Francis on Sunday.
