Nashville, TN – Mercyhurst Stunt is set to take the national stage this weekend as they gear up for the College Stunt National Championship. The Lakers will open tournament play against California Baptist on Thursday, April 24th at 8:00 AM CST.

Laker Outlook

Mercyhurst enters the national tournament coming off a strong showing at the Mid-America West Conference Championship Tournament, where they posted a 3-2 record. The Lakers picked up two key wins over Missouri State University and added another victory against Northern Kentucky University. Despite falling to the University of Kentucky and UT Martin—who ultimately eliminated them in the quarterfinals—the Lakers' performance helped secure their spot at the National Championship, where they'll get a chance to test themselves against the top-tier programs in the country.

Chloe Johnson was a standout performer throughout the Conference Championship weekend, earning First Team All-Conference honors for her efforts. With momentum on their side and a 15-12 overall record and a 7-6 record in conference play, the Lakers are aiming to close out the season on a high note.

Scouting California Baptist

The Lancers enter the National Championship with a perfect 24-0 record, having scored no fewer than 21 points in any contest this season. When these two teams met at the end of March, California Baptist handed Mercyhurst a 24-0 defeat. The Lakers will be looking to make key adjustments this time around as they prepare for a high-level rematch on the national stage.
