Box Score 4 Cambridge, Ma.- The Mercyhurst Women's Water Polo team went winless at the Harvard Invitational this weekend as they fell in all four of their matches. The Lakers are now just 1-11 on the road this year as they officially enter the back half of their schedule.

How it Happened:
The Lakers kicked off the weekend against Brown, who they ultimately fell to in a 19-6 battle. Mercyhurst started off strong as they grabbed a 2-1 lead after goals from Senior
Grace Brzyski and
Allie Dombkowski. But from there, Brown scored scored 11 straight goals to take a commanding 12-2 lead. Mercyhurst was only able to net four goals from there. Three of them came from Dombkowski and one was scored by Molly Landridge.

The game against Harvard was much of the same story. Harvard opened the game with three straight goals before
Victoria Mastrangelo got the Lakers on the board. But after that goal, Mercyhurst didn't score again until
Maryn King scored in the closing stages of the 20-2 loss.

To open day two, Mercyhurst took on Siena. They took a 5-1 lead to open up the match. But goals from Brzyski and
Freya Green cut the deficit to 8-4. Siena was able to answer, but Mastrangelo got the goal back to make it a 9-5 game.
Marley Hanlon added another soon after, but it was still a four goal game. Siena grabbed a couple of insurance goals over the final minutes of the game to secure the 12-7 win over Mercyhurst in a close battle.

Mercyhurst closed the weekend with a 21-4 loss to California Baptist. The Lakers were down 18-1 to begin the game. The managed to score just four goals. Hanlon, Green,
Olivia George and
Eva Henneman each found the back of the net.

Next Game:
The Lakers will take some time off before they hit the water again. They be back in action on March 21
st when they compete in the Michigan Invitational.
