Erie, Pa.- Mercyhurst is set to get back into action tomorrow as they'll be looking to extend their winning streak to five games. The Lakers sit at 6-4 in conference play and they're aiming to continue to climb the conference rankings as they enter the final stretch of the 2024-2025 season.
Battling at Bucknell:
The Lakers are set for their second weekend of action as they'll travel to Lewisburg to take part in the Bucknell Invitational. Mercyhurst went 1-3 in their first weekend of action. They picked a big win over Gannon to mark their first win at the Division I level.
Grace Brzyski had herself a solid opening weekend of play as she tallied nine goals over four games, including two hat tricks. Now the Lakers are set to take on St. Francis, La Salle, Bucknell and Mount St. Mary's.
St. Francis is coming into the weekend on a three-game winning streak that included wins over Gannon and Toronto. They've posted a 5-2 record through their first two weeks of action and will be looking to extend their winning streak to four games to open up action. La Salle will enter the competition at 0-7, but their past three losses came to ranked opponents. In their third game of the season, they fell in a 10-9 overtime battle with Bucknell.
The host school, Bucknell, is walking into the weekend at 5-1 and is currently on a five-game winning streak. Their lone loss came to Wagner who was ranked No. 22 at the time. They've had three one-point wins this year already. Mount St. Mary's is coming in at 6-2 and they've already grabbed a win over the Lakers this season. They've won two games in a row, with the last one coming over Gannon.

Mercyhurst will kick off the weekend against St. Francis at noon on Saturday, February 8
th. It'll be the first of four games over two days.
