Louisville, Ky. – The Mercyhurst Men's Lacrosse team begins its 2025 campaign this weekend as they travel to take on Bellarmine. The Lakers begin their first season at the Division 1 level and their first in the Northeast Conference.
A Look Back at 2024
2024 was the first season at the helm for Head Coach Trey Keeley. The Lakers dominated the 2024 season, finishing with a 13-5 overall record and a perfect 8-0 mark in GMAC play. In the middle of the season the Lakers went on an eight-game winning streak, before dropping a matchup with Mercy. They went on to capture the GMAC Championship with a win over Seton Hill before falling to Pace in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Scouting the Opponent
Bellarmine comes into the matchup after finishing the 2024 season with a 9-8 record overall and a 5-4 record in the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Knights lost their leaders in points from a season ago, but return their leading goal scorer John Alie, who led the Knights in goals (40), and finished third on the team in points (48).
Bellarmine has already played one game this season, currently holding a 0-1 record, with a 20-12 loss to #7 Duke.
