Lakers Gear Up for Three-Game Stretch

Pittsburgh, PA- Mercyhurst Women's Lacrosse is ready for an upcoming stretch of games. The Lakers will first travel to Pittsburgh, PA, to face Duquesne University on Thursday, February 27, at 2:00 PM. Following that, they head to South Carolina for matchups against Furman University on Sunday, March 2, at 2:00 PM and Presbyterian College on Tuesday, March 4, at 4:00 PM.

Laker Outlook

Mercyhurst kicked off their season with a tough 17-7 loss to Lindenwood University but is now focused on bouncing back with upcoming opportunities against strong opponents. Whitley Easton led the charge for the Lakers, scoring a hat trick, while Amanda Bailey and Ellie Schau each added a goal and an assist. Despite the season-opening setback, Mercyhurst is determined to regroup and build momentum. With a 0-1 record, the Lakers currently sit at fourth in the NEC standings, and they are eager to climb higher as the season progresses.

Scouting Duquesne

Duquesne enters the matchup with a 2-2 record, having earned victories over Akron and Youngstown State while falling to Robert Morris and Saint Francis. Mackenzie Leszczynski leads the team with nine goals and seven assists through four games. Currently, Duquesne sits in sixth place in the Atlantic 10 Conference standings.

Scouting Furman

Furman boasts a 2-0 record, with wins over Old Dominion and Kennesaw State. Paige Harman has been a key contributor with six goals and three assists, while Anna Roser has scored seven goals in the past two games. Furman currently holds the top spot in the Big South standings.

Scouting Presbyterian

Presbyterian begins their season with a 0-2 record, suffering losses to Kent State and Akron. Alyssa Perez leads the team in both points and goals with four goals over the past two games. Presbyterian ranks fifth in the current Big South standings.
