Indiana, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Men's Golf team participated in the Cecil C. Spadafora IUP Golf Invitational at the Indiana Country Club in Indiana Pa.

The Lakers finished round one with a team score of 304, which placed them in a tie for sixth place.  Evan Rowane finished round one in a tie for ninth place after shooting a one over par 72.  Rowane carded four birdies during his round.  Matthew Spadacini shot at 76 in round one, placing him in a tie for 27th place.  Aidan Fong shot a six over par 77 in round one, placing him in a tie for 38th.  

Matthew Spadacini was the high finisher on day two, shooting a second round 71 (even par).  Spadacini moved up eight spots on the leaderboard to finish in a tie for 19th place.  On the front nine, he had a birdie on hole four and an eagle on hole five, helping him shoot even par on the front nine.  Evan Rowane finished in a tie for 27th after carding a second round 78.  Aidan Fong shot a second round 76, placing him in a tie for 39th.  The Lakers finished the tournament in a tie for 7th place.  

The Lakers will return to action April 22-23 when they compete in the Atlantic/East Regional Preview at Olgebay Resort & Conference Center in Wheeling, West Virginia.
