Erie, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Men's Golf team hosted the Mercyhurst Spring Invitational at Lake View Country Club.  

As a team, the Lakers A team finished in third place with a team score of 618 (+42). The Lakers posted a team score of 310 in round one, followed by a team score of 308 in round two. 

The Lakers B team finished in eighth place with a team score of 657 (+81). They posted a team score of 332 in round one and a team score of 325 in round two.  

The high finisher for the Lakers was Aidan Fong, who finished T9 with a round one score of 77, followed by a round two score of 76. Fong carded four birdies between rounds one and two. Matthew Spadacini finished T14 with a round one 79 and a round two 75. Darien Swanson finished T17 after a round one 77 and a round two 78. 

The Lakers will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday when they participate in the Cecil C. Spadafora IUP Golf Invitational.
