Romeoville, IL - The Lakers clinched a hard-fought 10-7 win against Lewis Men's Lacrosse in a thrilling match at Lewis Stadium. This victory marks an important moment for the Lakers, improving their season record to 3-3 and showcasing their resilience and strategic prowess on the field. 

How it Happened 

The match began with an intense back-and-forth between the two teams. Mercyhurst's Darin Santos opened the scoring, finding the net with an assist from Kevin Sprague, setting the tone for the Lakers. The goal was Santos' first of the season. The game's early stages saw both teams trading goals, with Lewis responding quickly to Mercyhurst's opening efforts. 

Ethan Landymore was a standout performer for the Lakers, scoring four goals, including crucial strikes that kept Mercyhurst ahead. Jeremi Phoenix-Lefebvre added two goals and an assist to the tally, demonstrating his skill and contributing significantly to the team's offensive efforts. Contributions from Luke Ingianni, Colin Tardif, and Casey Scott ensured the Lakers maintained their lead, with each finding the back of the net once. 

Lewis, not to be outdone, mounted a strong challenge, with Evan Clement leading their scoring with two goals. Despite their efforts and moments of brilliance, Lewis could not bridge the gap established by Mercyhurst.
