Frostburg, MD. - The Mercyhurst Men's Lacrosse team hits the road for a matchup with Frostburg State. The Lakers are looking to secure their second win in a row and their first win on the road this season. 

Matchup History 

The first ever matchup between these two schools was a season ago in Erie. The Lakers won that matchup by a score of 21-10.  

Last Time Out 

The Lakers hosted Wilmington in their home opener. The Lakers got their first win of the season and Trey Keeley secured his first win as the Head Coach of the Lakers. The Lakers went down 1-0 early in the game, but responded by scoring five unanswered goals, and never looked back. In the game, the Lakers got five goals from Ethan Landymore, four goals from Chase Petschke, and three goals from Jeremi Phoenix-Lefebvre. Those three produced 12 of the Lakers 15 goals in the win. Petschke added an assist to his stateline, so he finished with five points.  

Stats Leaders 

Ethan Landymore leads the Lakers in goals with six after his five-goal performance last Saturday. Colin Tardif and Ryan Mahoney are tied for the team lead in assists with four. Tardif leads the team in points with seven. Brett Olney is 1-2 in net with a .538 save percentage and 35 saves.  

A Look at the Opponent 

Frostburg State is 1-0 with a 29-9 win over Wheeling. Their opening game against Saint Michaels was cancelled. Bubba Love leads the Bobcats in goals with eight. Austin Sipes leads the Bobcats in assists with eight. Love and Sipes are tied for the team lead in points with 13. All three goaltenders for the Bobcats have seen action so far this year. Nate Jones collected the win in their only game played.
