Erie, Pa.- The Mercyhurst Men's Water Polo team is getting ready to finish out the 2024 season as they prepare for the final two games of the season. The Lakers have compiled a 7-21 record in their first season at the Division I level and as they enter the last weekend of play, they're still looking for their first Division I conference win.

Battling on the Road
The Lakers have won just one road game in the 2024 season, but they're coming off of their most complete weekend of the year after they picked up a pair of wins in Erie. The Lakers will be looking to finish off their season with their first conference win, but in order to so, they'll be counting Freshman
Petar Vujovic, Junior
Owen Hardner and Sophomore
Asher Jones to continue to produce. The duo of Senior
Tony Golin and Sophomore
Alex Gyde will be looking to replicate last week's performances that saw them allow a season-low six goals against Washington & Jefferson and just eight goals against Penn State Behrend.

Scouting Wagner
Mercyhurst will get an opportunity to grab their first conference win over fellow NEC school, Wagner, on Friday night. Wagner currently sits at 12-15 and has a 4-5 record in conference play. The Seahawks beat Mercyhurst 18-12 the last time they faced on October 19
th. Vujovic managed to net four goals in the matchup.

Scouting Fordham
The Lakers will have their hands full in their final game of the season when they play Fordham. The Rams are currently No. 3 in the nation and have 24-0 record. The last time they played Mercyhurst, they took a 26-9 victory. Since then, they've won five games against ranked opponents. Last weekend they outscored their opponents 65-27 in three games played. Fordham will prove to be the Lakers toughest test as they try to upset Fordham and end their bid for a perfect regular season.
