Princeton, NJ— The Mercyhurst Rowing team traveled to New Jersey for the Princeton 3-mile Chase. The Lakers finished out their fall season with a strong showing against the Ivy's.
How it Happened
First on the water for the Lakers was the Men's Heavyweight 8+, the boat consisted of Brayden Pinkham (1), Josh Cole (2), Anthony DePinto (3), Leo Adamov (4), Liam Wise (5), Cole Bardeschewski (6), Oliver Stover (7), Nate Harris (8), and Lucas Caine (C). The boat finished in 31st with a time of 13:50.325 just ahead of Embry Riddle, Holy Cross, Georgetown, Temple, and Princeton.
Next on the water for the Lakers was the Men's Lightweight 8+, the boat consisted of Tim Silverman (1), Ralph Kasow (2), Jovan Saric (3), Bogdan Protic (4), Luka Loncar (5), Marko Dojcinovic (6), Ivan Katic (7), Isaac Feldman (8), and Emily McCauley (C). The boat finished in 11th with a time of 13:11.841 just ahead of Princeton, Cornell, Penn, and Navy.
The Women's 8+ was shortly after the lightweights, and their boat consisted of Nayila Harris (1), Grace Crounse (2), Hilde Wadlington (3), Zofia Krukowska (4), Julia Schultz (5), Thea Felsner (6), Tabea Wieland (7), Blythe Lyons (8), and Seanna Zona (C). The boat finished with a time of 16:25.526 just ahead of Temple, George Washington, and Rhode Island.
After the lunch break, the Men's 8+ hit the water again for round two. The boat consisted of Isaac Feldman (1), Bogdan Protic (2), Marko Dojcinovic (3), Jovan Saric (4), Ralph Kasow (5), Luka Loncar (6), Nate Harris (7), Dusan Belic, and Emily McCauley (C). The boat finished in 8th place with a time of 13:22.710 ahead of Penn, Princeton, Cornell, and Navy.
In the afternoon, the Lakers raced in small boats, Mercyhurst had two boats hit the water for the Men's 4+, the first four consisted of Shane Kelly (1), Josh Cole (2), Anthony DePinto (3), Brayden Pinkham (4), and Lucas Caine (C). The other four consisted of Tim Silverman (1), Leo Adamov (2), Oliver Stover (3), Cole Bardeschewski (4), and Keri Manning (C). The first four finished with a time of 15:49.307 ahead of Marietta and Saint Joseph's. The other four finished with a time of 16:02.779 ahead of Marietta.
The next boat for the Lakers was the Men's 1x, the single was rowed by Ivan Katic. Ivan finished with a time of 16:57.646 just 5 seconds off of Princeton.
The last boat to hit the water for the Lakers was the Women's 4+, the boat consisted of Tabea Wieland (1), Thea Felsner (2), Julia Schultz (3), Blythe Lyons (4), and Madie Taylor (C). They finished with a time of 17:32.290 ahead of George Washington, Clemson, Princeton, and Massachusetts.
