Camden, N.J. - The Mercyhurst rowing teams competed in the Knecht cup this weekend, finding six top three finishes across the two day regatta.
The first crew to race was the Women's Varisty Four. The boat, who competed with Boston College, UMass, MIT and Fairfield, came in third with a time of 7:59.45.
The next Mercyhurst crew to hit the water was the Women's Second Varsity Eight. The team came in fifth with a time of 8:04.09.
Two crews raced in the Men's Varsity Eight in the early evening for the Lakers. Boat 8 came in third for with the time of 6:04.58. Boat B came in sixth place with a time of 6:27.25.
The Women's Varsity Four Semi-Final was next on the schedule for the Lakers. The crew came in third with a time of 7:41.96, just one second behind Boston College who came in second.
The first boat to race on day two of the regatta was the Women's Varsity Pair Final. The pair, who raced against Oklahoma City, Pittsburgh, Penn State, and Bryant, took first with a time of 10:37.73.
The Women's Varsity Four Final hit the water next for the Lakers. The crew came in fifth with a time of 8:42.96.
Next up for Mercyhurst was the Men's Second Varsity Four Final. The cre came in second with a time of 8:29.16.
The last two crews to hit the water were the Men's Varsity Eight Petite Finalists. Boat A came in second for the Lakers with a time of 6:13.91. The Lakers were in a tight race as they only had 0:00.31 seconds between their time and the first place team. Boat B came in fifth with a time of 6:23.99.
