Box Score 4 Erie, Pa.- The Mercyhurst Men's Water Polo competed in their final home weekend in the 2024 season this past weekend. The Lakers went 1-3 and grabbed against Penn State Behrend.
How it Happened:
Mercyhurst started the weekend off against their Erie foe, Gannon. The Golden Knights grabbed a narrow victory as they took down the Lakers 15-11. Freshman
Petar Vujovic continued his impressive season as he managed to put five points on the board, but ultimately it wasn't enough to grab the win. The Lakers continued day one against Salem, who took a 25-14 victory. Vujovic was once again the leading scorer, this time with six goals. Sophomore
Asher Jones also put up four goals.
Day two started with a match against Penn State Behrend. The Lakers grabbed a 15-8 win and Graduate Student
Danilo Vujovic and
Petar Vujovic each had three goals in the game.
Ben Gavran also put up a hat trick in the win over their Erie rival. The Lakers then fell to McKendree 17-10 to close out the weekend. Freshman
Alessio Sampedro led the Lakers with three goals.

Mercyhurst finishes the season out with two matches in New York. They play Wagner on Friday, November 8th and Fordham on Saturday, November 9
th.
