Cambridge, Ma. - Mercyhurst Men's Water Polo fell in their final of three games on the weekend Sunday morning to Harvard. The Crimson got off to a fast start and never looked back from there in the 22-2 defeat.
How it Happened
Harvard jumped out in front in the early going and never looked back, scoring six time in the opening frame with six different players scoring. Teagan Thomas did manage to score once in the frame, but did little to stop the team from falling behind.
Nate Cheney found the back of the cage in the second period to give the Lakers their second goal of the game. The Crimson managed to score six times in the frame, though, as Mercyhurst found themselves behind 12-2 a the half.
Harvard did not let up in the second half with them outscoring the Lakers 10-0 in the final 16 minutes of action as the Lakers fall to 1-11 on the season.
Highlights
Teagan Thomas and Nate Cheney both registered a goal in the game with both coming in the first half of action.

Mercyhurst sees some time off before their next contest as they do not play again until Friday, October 6th when they host Augustana followed by Austin College the following day.
