PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Men's Tennis team faced the Duquesne Dukes this morning, Feb. 22, 2023. 

The team put up a battle posting a score of 1-6. 

Hristo Plasheski and Lukas Caube Valverde were paired at two and forced the score up to 5-7. Ben Davis and Noha De Sousa Pereira finished second, while Avik Agrawal and Juan Carlos Hernandez Briones played in the third spot. All three sets went in favor of the Dukes.

Davis and Plasheski were the first two Lakers off the court. Caube Valverde was the third to finish, and came off with the sole win of the day. De Sousa Pereira put up a long three-set battle to finish in fourth. Hernandez Briones and Agrawal were the last to play to a finish.
