Erie, Pa. - College Hockey America has announced their Players of the Week from this past week's games. Sydney Pedersen has earned Defenseman of the Week honors for her performance during the Lakers weekend series with St. Cloud. 

In Friday's win over St. Cloud, Pedersen tallied an assist on a Marielle Parks goal that gave the Lakers a 1-0 lead early in the game. She also blocked five shots in the game. In Saturday's loss to St. Cloud she continued her great play on the defensive end, blocking four more shots. She also put three shots on goal.  

Pedersen and the Lakers will be back in action this weekend as they travel to Hamilton, New York to take on Colgate in a weeend series.
