Northeast, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Men's and Women's Golf teams finished day two of their tournaments at Lakeview Country Club. The Men finished up the Mercyhurst Fall Invitational, while the Women finished up the Evann Parker Memorial Invitational.
The top finisher for the men was Evan Rowane who shot an even par 72 back-to-back days which put in in third place overall. Tyler Thomas finished in a tie for 12th place with a 75 on day two after shooting 73 yesterday. Aidan Fong shot 75 on day two, which put him in a tie for 14th place. Darien Swanson finished in a tie for 20th after shooting an 81 on day two. Mac Dietrick rounded out the scoring for the Lakers with an 82 that placed him in a tie for 28th place. As a team the Lakers finished in second place with a team score of +14.
Isabella Walter was the top finisher for the women with an 81 on day two, which put her in a tie for 6th place. Alyssa Ballaro finished in 9th place after shooting an 82. Sofia Carrizosa and Kymberly Henry both finished in a tie for 16th place. Carrizosa shot 86 on day two, and Henry shot 88. Lauren DeArment finished in a tie for 19th place, after shooting an 87. As a team the Lakers finished in third place with a team score of +83.
Both the men's and women's teams will be back in action tomorrow as the men will play in the Howard "Bud" Ewell Fall Classic at Whispering Woods CC. The women will play in the Michael Corbett Fall Classic at Whispering Woods CC. Both tournaments will start tomorrow and conclude Monday.
