Boston, Mass. - College Hockey America has announced their players of the month for October and Sydney Pedersen was named Defenseman of the Month. 

Pedersen finished the month with one goal, eight assists, while putting 23 shots on goal. She scored her lone goal of the month in a 3-3 tie with #9 Cornell. In a game against Robert Morris, Pedersen finished with four assists to four different goal scorers. During the month, Pedersen had a four-game point streak and in that point streak, she had seven points. Pedersen was also doing dirty work on the defensive end, blocking 16 shots during the month. After her stellar month, Pedersen now leads the team in assists with ten, which also leads the CHA. She also leads the CHA in assists per game with 0.83. 

Pedersen and the Lakers will start the month of November on the road for back-to-back weeks as they travel to RIT for a CHA series, followed by a non-conference series with Princeton.
