PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Mercyhurst Men's Tennis team fell to Duquesne on the road Saturday afternoon by a 5-2 margin.
The Lakers dropped the three doubles matches with the pair of Hristo Plasheski and Morris Haab falling by a 6-4 score, the closest margin of the three matches. In singles play, David Akinpetide won his No. 1 singles match in straight sets 6-4,7-6 (6) to give the Lakers one of their two singles victories. Haab picked up the other win at No. 6 singles with a 3-6,6-1,10-7 margin of victory.
The Lakers will be back in action next Friday on the road at Kutztown.
