Erie, Pa – Fresh off their 20-8 dismantlement of Wheeling University last Saturday, the Mercyhurst Men's Lacrosse team will be back in action this week for a home game to be played under the lights of Saxon Stadium on Tuesday evening against Lake Erie followed by a trip to Chestnut Hill College on Saturday
Laker Overview
The Lakers (3-2, 1-0 GMAC) are coming off of their GMAC opener that took place last Saturday which saw 12 different Lakers score a goal.

Face off Specialist
Shawn Doran won 10 of 13 draws from the X for Mercyhurst as well as recording seven ground balls against the Cardinals, he is now 69-96 in faceoffs this season posting a 72% win percentage. On the defensive end of the field
Liam Bogedain caused a team-high three turnovers last Saturday.
High Defensive Pressure
The Lakers really locked in on the defensive transition side of the ball against Wheeling as they allowed a season low 10 clear attempts for the Cardinals who finished the game 10-25 on such attempts. In the first half alone, Wheeling only registered clears on two of their 13 attempts as eight Lakers contributed at least one caused TO in the contest.
Scouting Lake Erie
Tuesday evening will be the first GMAC conference game for The Storm this season, Lake Erie has started the year with a 2-4 non-conference record picking up wins over Frostburg State and Lewis University.
Dawson Kindall has paced The Storm so far this season with 15 goals to go along with six assists for a team-high 21 points. Midfielder Tommy Bichsel will be another name to watch for LEC as he currently leads the squad with nine helpers.
Senior Goalkeeper Lincoln Potter has played every minute in net for The Storm this year, he has collected 82 saves on a 52.6 save percentage while allowing 12.62 goals per contest.
Scouting Chestnut Hill
The Griffins of Chestnut Hill College enter the week of competition holding a 3-4 overall record seven games into their 2022 schedule. The Griffins have posted wins over D'Youville, UDC, and St. Michael's College.
Chestnut Hill has been led on attack this season by senior Maurice Kelly who has compiled 15 goals and 15 assists in the teams first seven games. Liam McCann, who leads the Griffins with 17 goals, will also be someone to keep an eye out for.
The Griffins have had five different players take time in goal this season however, Austin Jones and Jake Miller are the only two that have registered starts. Jones leads the team with a 9.20 GAA with 60 saves while Miller has collected 19 saves on a 15.33 GAA.

Following their two games this week the Lakers will make the trip to Dobbs Ferry, New York next Saturday where they will match up with No. 6 Mercy in what will most likely be Mercyhurst's third top-ten matchup of the young season.
