Erie, Pa – The members of the Mercyhurst Men's Tennis team were victorious on Thursday afternoon at the Westwood Racquet club in Erie, Pa. The Lakers swept the Golden Rams winning all three doubles matches to go along with straight set wins in all six singles matches.

The doubles pair of David Akinpetide and Milan Jankovic won their match 6-2 while the pairs of Ben Davis/Noha De Sousa Pereira and Kiran Richards/Juan Carlos Hernandez Briones both won their doubles matches 6-1.

In singles, Morris Haab was perfect in his match winning 6-0,6-0. Jankovic and Hristo Plasheki each won their respective matches by scores of 6-0,6-1. Additionally for the Lakers, Akinpetide along with Davis and Noha De Sousa Pereira closed out their singles opponents in straight sets.

The Lakers will close out their three match home stand on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. against Millersville.
