Laker Overview
The Lakers will look to regroup this weekend after an 0-2 performance last week against Penn State in Happy Valley. The Lakers were limited to just one goal in each of their two games against the Nittany Lions.
Sydney Pedersen scored the first goal of Friday's 2-1 overtime loss that saw Penn State score in the final two minutes to send it to overtime, and then again just 16 seconds into the overtime period.
Marielle Parks had the other score this past weekend, she scored Mercyhurst's tenth power play goal of the season late in the teams 3-1 loss on Saturday.
Against the Tigers
Friday's contest will be the 42nd time in history that these two programs have played one another. Mercyhurst has come away with 35 of the first 41 contests and have outscored the Tigers 155-55 in those games.
Scouting RIT
RIT currently holds a 0-23-2 record, however it should be worth noting that both of the schools the Tigers have drawn with in LIU and Penn State have defeated the Lakers this season. Abby Davies currently leads the team with seven goals this season, just behind her is Emma Roland who leads the team with ten points (6g,4a). The Tigers have split work in between the posts this season with Sarah Coe and Taylor Liotta. Liotta leads the two with a 3.94 GAA and a .902 save percentage.
