BOSTON – The Mercyhurst women's hockey team landed 25 student-athletes on the Atlantic Hockey America All-Academic Team with six earning the recognition as Student-Athletes of the Year.
 
The Lakers had tied for the most honorees with Robert Morris.
 
The six Lakers named AHA Student-Athletes of the Year earned perfect 4.0 GPAs for the 2025-26 academic year. Those honorees are Maja Alenius, Tara Bach, Emma Leibrecht, Erika Lind, Abby Poitras, and Alexis Stanat.
 
A total of 145 student-athletes from across the conference were selected for the All-Academic Team, which recognizes student-athletes who maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or above in both semesters of the 2025-26 academic year.
