Box Score Olean, N.Y.—The Mercyhurst Men's Tennis team took three singles matches to a third set, but could only win one as they lost 6-1 at St. Bonaventure Sunday afternoon.
How it Happened
St. Bonaventure picked up the doubles point with wins at the first and third spots, but Ben Davis and Noha DeSousa Pereira teamed up for a 6-4 win at second doubles.
Davis rallied from a 6-0 first-set loss to win 6-4 in the second set to force a third, but fell 6-3 in the final set at first singles. Milan Jankovic followed a similar trajectory, dropping his first set, but he won the next two to earn the Lakers a point at No. 3 singles.
Hristo Plasheski also went three sets at fourth singles, but Mercyhurst would not pick up another win as they fell 6-1 to the Bonnies.

The Lakers will head to Loretto, Pennsylvania, to take on Saint Francis University on Tuesday at 1 p.m. before heading off to Florida for their spring trip next week.
