ERIE, Pa – The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team will conclude their 2021-22 regular season on the road at Lindenwood this Friday and Saturday. The Lakers (19-10-2, 9-5 CHA) will look to complete the season sweep of the Lions (5-20-1, 3-8-1 CHA).
Laker Overview
The Mercyhurst women are coming off a series split against Syracuse. The Lakers dominated the Orange in Friday's opener, scoring three goals in each period on their way to a 9-0 dismantling.
Sara Boucher led the way with her first hat-trick of the season to go along with an assist, while
Liliane Perreault also registered four points on two goals and two assists for the Lakers.
Syracuse bounced back in the second game winning by a 4-1 margin to clinch their first ever CHA regular season title.
Against the Lions
Friday's contest between the Lakers and Lions will be the 42nd time in the two programs' histories that they will have played one another. The Lakers have posted a 33-7-1 record against the Lions in the first 41 contests while outscoring the Lions 179 to 53. Most recently, the Lakers extended their winning streak over the Lions to six games, sweeping them at the Mercyhurst Ice Center on Jan. 14-15 by scores of 3-1, and 4-2.
Scouting Lindenwood
The Lions enter Friday's contest coming off a weekend series against RIT last week where they only recorded a single point. Lindenwood does have a 5-3 win recorded against the CHA Regular Season Champion Syracuse Orange earlier in the season.
The Lions are led by Sierra Burt who leads the team with 21 points on six goals and 15 assists. Madison Stitt leads the team in goals, the senior defenseman has registered seven goals during her senior season.
Lindenwood has used a combination of Natalie Ferenc and Julia Maguire in between the pipes this season. Ferenc has led the two in GAA (3.76) and wins (4), while Maguire leads the team in save % with a .901 mark.

The Lakers head to the Tennity Ice Pavilion next weekend for the CHA Postseason tournament. Mercyhurst will be either the #2 or #3 seed depending on results from this weekend. The Lakers will play Penn State on Feb. 25th at 4 o'clock regardless of what seed they end up with.
