Lock Haven, Pa. - Mercyhurst Football put two players on all-conference teams, announced the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tuesday. The first of the two honorees was Jacob Holl who was named part of the All-PSAC West Defensive First Team while Dustin Shoaf was named a recipient of the All-PSAC West Offensive Second Team.

Shoaf was a major contributor on the ground for the Lakers in 2022 with him leading the team in rushes (113) and touchdowns (7) while coming in second in rushing yards (446) and yards per game (47.7). 

The junior played in nine games for the Lakers with him breaking 70 yards in a game three different times with his best performance coming against Edinboro during homecoming weekend when the running back had 103 yards on 29 carries with a touchdown to his line. His efforts against the Fighting Scots ended up setting career marks in both carries and yards as he played a major part in the team's 13-point effort in the game.

Shoaf finished the season 15th in the conference in total rushes while his 429 yards check in at 21st in the PSAC and his seven rushing touchdowns were tied for third. The heavy-hitting runner proved to be one of the better rushers near the goal line as he was able to score in five different games for the Lakers. He got off to a very hot start as pushed past the pylon five times in the first seven games of the season with two touchdowns in each of the team's first two games while totaling 136 yards in those games, helping Mercyhurst claim their two wins in 2022.
