Kansas City, Mo. - Mercyhurst Men's Soccer holds their place at 2nd in the latest NCAA DII poll, announced the Uniter Soccer Coaches Tuesday afternoon, after going 2-0 on the week with a pair of shutouts.
The Lakers have not slowed down of late with them grabbing two wins last week by a margin of 16-0. The team now sits with a record of 15-0-1 on the season with their last victory helping them claim the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West regular season championship. That win came against UPJ at home on a day in which the Lakers honored their senior class while breaking several records. Sumner's dozen assists to this point in the year have him ranked third behind Lake Erie's Teddy Baker (13) and Geo Rios of Clayton St. (14).
