Erie, Pa.—Isabella Walter of the Women's Golf team has been named as the PSAC Golfer of the week. Walter earned a first-place finish at the Husky Invitational on Monday to earn the title and become the second Laker of the fall season to be selected. 
 
The Pittsburgh native fired an 81 to claim first place out of 32 golfers in the one-day event. Her round was highlighted by birdies on holes five and 10 as well as carding only one double-bogey on the day. Her first place finished helped the Lakers to the team crown as well. 
 
This victory is the third of her collegiate career tying her with Gaelin Carrig for most wins all time in Mercyhurst history. Walter's first victory came in her first year as a Laker in the 2020-21 season at the Gannon Invitational. As a sophomore, Walter picked up another win at the Charleston Invitational with a 36-hole total of 153 (77-76). 
 
Walter and the Lakers tee off again in Clarion on Sunday for the Clarion Fall Guy Invitational.
