VERO BEACH, FLA. – The Mercyhurst women's golf team concluded play at its first tournament of the spring season Sunday. The Lakers improved their score in each round, shooting 339-336-316 at the NKU Spring Fling at Sandridge CC in Vero Beach, Fla.

Freshman
Lauren Iannetta was the low finisher for the Lakers, tying for 28
th. Iannetta had her best round on day three, shooting a final round 78. She opened with an 82 in each of the first two rounds to finish with at 242 54-hole total.

Improving in each round,
Danielle Walker shaved nine strokes off her first round score to shoot 78 in the final round. Walkers shot 82 in the second round, totaling 247 on the weekend.

Emily Ferguson and
Olivia Seaman tied for 46
th with a 54-hole total of 252. Ferguson posted the Lakers low round of the tournament on the final day, carding a 77. She was two under through her first three holes, shooting an even par 36 on the back nine. Ferguson shot 84 in round one and 91 in round two.

Seaman posted matching 83's in rounds two and three accompanied by an 86 on the opening 18.

Molly McGreal also competed for the Lakers, shooting 93-89-86.
