ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's tennis team defeated visiting St. Francis 5-2 on Saturday night at the Westwood Racquet Club. 

The Lakers went 1-2 in the doubles competition with Arseniy Skylarov and Unai Amillita Gonzalez picked up the win at the second spot. 

Gonzalez added a win at second flight singles 6-2, 6-2. Skylarov also picked up a singles win by scores of 6-2, 6-2 at fifth flight. 

David Akinpetide went 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 to pick up the win at number one singles. Milan Jankovic picked up a straight set victory 6-1, 6-4 at third flight. 

At fourth flight, Hristo Plasheski won in straight sets 7-5, 6-2 to pick up the fifth point for the Lakers. 

The Lakers are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Duquesne on Sunday.
