ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's tennis team got in the win column on Saturday with a 7-0 victory over visiting Kutztown Saturday afternoon at the Westwood Racquet Club. 

The Lakers swept the double competition with David Akinpetide and Milan Jankovic winning 6-1 at number one. Unai Amilleta Gonzalez and Arseniy Skylarov posted a  6-2 win at second flight and Hristo Plasheski and Kiran Richards teamed up for a 7-5 victory at number 3. 

Gonzalez, playing number one singles, defeated Gonzalo Barcelo 6-0, 6-3. Akinpetide posted the same score in his number two singles match with Sebastian Arizpe. 

Jankovic dropped just one game in his 6-0, 6-1 victory at third flight singles. Plascheski added a 6-2, 6-0 win at number four. 

Skylarov went 6-0, 6-1 at number five and Eli Dykema finished the sweep with a 6-3, 6-3 win at number six singles.  

The Lakers are back in action on Sunday when they host Bloomsburg at 6 p.m.
