OLEAN, N.Y. -- The Mercyhurst men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to host St. Bonaventure Saturday afternoon in their season opener. 

The Lakers picked up one of the three doubles matches with Unai Amilleta Gonzalez and Arseniy Skylarov combining for a 6-4 victory at number two doubles. The Bonnies picked up the doubles point with a 6-3 win at first doubles and a 6-4 victory in third flight doubles. 

Gonzalez picked up a win at number two singles with a straight set win 6-3, 6-3 to give the Lakers their point in the match. 

The Lakers will host another Division I opponent Saint Francis University on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Westwood Racquet Club.
