Box Score Erie, Pa.—The Mercyhurst Men's soccer team hosted Gannon on a gloomy day in Erie. The two Erie schools finished 110 minutes and didn't solve anything as they tied 2-2.
How it Happened
Tom Barry opened the scoring in the 43rd minutes as Sean Kerrigan passed it into the box and Barry made no mistake burying it into the bottom left corner.
After the first 45 minutes the Lakers were up 1-0 after outshooting Gannon 11-6, Gannon made four saves while Jonathan Gomes did not need to make a save.
Just four minutes into the second half the Lakers extended their lead to two as Nevado Elliott scored his seventh goal of the season as he took a shot from about 40 yards out and beat the keeper to his left.
Gannon scored their first goal of the game in the 70th minute and their second in the 84th minute.
The two teams headed to overtime despite Mercyhurst outshooting Gannon 18-10 after 90 minutes.
Nothing was solved in either of the overtime period as Mercyhurst tallied two shots and Gannon had three shots, the Lakers had the lone shot on goal in the overtime periods.
Elliott Stays Hot
Elliott now has seven goals on the season to lead the Lakers, he also has 16 points which also leads the Lakers.
Playoff Picture
Three teams from each division of the PSAC make the playoffs. Currently the Lakers sit in fourth place with Gannon leading the way followed by Seton Hill and Slippery Rock.

The Lakers host Slippery Rock on Wednesday and they head to UPJ on Saturday to take on the Mountain Cats.
