WILMINGTON, DE – The Mercyhurst women's bowling team finished fifth at the Wilmington Invite. The Lakers went 3-6 on the weekend.

Haley Youker finished fourth in the individual standings with a total of 1,115 pins for a 223.00 game average.
Samantha Strebel was next for the Lakers in 26th place with 917 pins and a game average of 183.40.
Samantha Schurr came in 32nd place with a game average of 162.40 and 812 total pins.
Anica Akins was right behind her in 33rd with 802 pins and a 160.40 game average.
Andrea Fracassi had 720 total pins for a 144.00 game average, good for 38th place.

Youker was named to the All-Tournament team for the seven-straight time.

After day one, Mercyhurst was 1-4 in five traditional matches. The Lakers fell 1,055-935 to Wilmington before falling 890-818 to Bloomfield, 935-809 to Caldwell and 1,027-829 to Monmouth. The Lakers finished off the day with a 975-901 win over Chestnut Hill.

Mercyhurst also fell 1,040-879 to Fairleigh Dickinson and 1,064-880 to St. Francis, Brooklyn. The Lakers then won 1,314-1,228 over Chestnut Hill and 1,282-1,257Â over Bloomfield.

The Lakers are back in action March 20-22 for the East Coast Conference Championship.
