NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – The Mercyhurst Women's Bowling team traveled to Niagara Falls, New York for the Brunswick Fall Open, hosted by Niagara. The Lakers had a strong showing, finishing 3
rd out of 10 teams.

In Traditional competition, Mercyhurst fell to William Smith, Mount Saint Mary's, Bryant, and Niagara in tight competition before being able to secure a win against Pitt-Bradford in their final match by a score of 880-643. In the matchup against William Smith,
Briana Provenzano rolled a 239, a team high, but it was not enough to secure the win for the Lakers.

In Baker competition, the Lakers swept the board with four wins against Daemen, Hilbert, Penn State-Behrend, and D'Youville. The Lakers went into Sunday's championship bracket in 4
th place and were looking to make a jump in the leaderboard. The Blue and Green faced off against Bryant, and defeated them 4-2, with Mercyhurst pulling away with 1,150 pins to Bryant's 1,143. The Lakers then secured a 3
rd place finish for the weekend.

The Lakers finished the weekend with a tournament record of 6-4 and 9,454 total pins between Traditional, Baker, and Bracket competition, as well as a team average of 185.4 per game.

Provenzano led the team with an individual performance of 932 pins along with an average of 186.4, earning her a 14
th overall finish in the tournament.
Mackensie Livingston also had a strong showing with 898 pins and an average of 179.6, finishing 20
th.
Tia Germanich also finished 22
nd thanks to 890 pins and a 178.0 average for the weekend.

The Lakers will next travel to Mount Joy, Pennsylvania for their first NEC Meet of the season. The tournament is slated for November 7
th-9
th.
