Women's Water Polo Falls 12-7 to VMI

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's water polo team fell 12-7 to Virginia Military Institute on Friday at the Grove City Invite.

Mason Feldstein scored one goal and had three assists while Sara Marin had one goal and one assist and Hanna Good scored two goals. Rachel Byrnes, Cassie Anderson and Lindsey Mizrahi scored one goal each. Hannah Engquist and Isabella Morris had one assist a piece.

In net, Sarah O'Keefe made eight saves before Madison Hoefakker came in and made one save for the Lakers.

For VMI, Genevieve Petrassi, Emma Noble, McKenna Imset, Kiara Aguiano, Makenna Moore, Emma Perez and Catherine Ahumada scored.

In net, Isabel French made eight saves.

The Lakers are back in action on Saturday for three games to finished out the Grove City Invite. They play Salem at 8:00 a.m. before playing Wittenberg at 11:45 a.m. and Grove City at 4:45 p.m.
