Mercyhurst University Women's Soccer Reserves ran out 6-0 winners against Gannon University.
Emma Scali started the scoring spree in the 14th minute with a rifles shot from 20 yards that flew into the top corner, after superb play from Amata Valentini to shield off a defender and lay the ball back to Scali.
The next goal came in the 19th minute through a burst of speed from Lexi Lindamer who dribbled down the goal line and play a cross into the box for Jenna Robnett to score.
As the first half progressed, the Lakers stayed sharp with Emma Scali capitalizing on a short clearance from Gannon's goalkeeper to score her second of the game as she controlled the ball, and slotted it into the far bottom corner past the keeper.
The second half started slowly with Gannon maintaining more possession that the Lakers, but in the 59th minute Lauren Casey drove into space in the middle of the field and played a wonderful ball over the top of the defense for Lexi Lindamer to run onto and finish into the bottom corner, for her second goal.
The Lakers regained firm control of the game and in the 63rd minute we scored our fifth of the game when Emma Scali found Talia Defay in space on the right, who cut inside and played a great ball into the box and Amata Valentini finished six yards from goal. Six minutes later we had our 6th and Amata's second of the game after Anna Schult play a long ball over the top of the defense for Valentini to out-muscle the defender and tuck the ball into the far corner.
Ali Bakowski made three saves to ensure the clean sheet at the back.
