Women's Water Polo Preview: WWPA Championship

GENEVA, Ohio – The Mercyhurst women's water polo team travels to Geneva, Ohio on April 26-28 for the Western Water Polo Association Championships.
 
The Lakers head into the playoffs as the ninth seed. They will kick off the tournament on April 26 at 9:00 a.m. when they take on eighth seeded California State University Monterey Bay.
 
Winner of the game plays University of California San Diego on April 26 at 3:00 p.m. Loser plays on April 27 at 9:00 a.m.

Mercyhurst Numbers
Maddie Nye is leading the Lakers roster with 55 goals and 65 points. She is also leading with 35 steals and 18 drawn ejections. Sarah Hershey is next with 30 goals and 42 points. She has 17 drawn ejections and leads the Lakers with a .508 shot percentage. Rachel Byrnes and Mackenzie Ryburn have 29 points each.
