ERIE, Pa. -- The 22nd-ranked Mercyhurst wrestling team will host Findlay for a non-conference match on Wednesday, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.
Both teams competed at the Findlay Open (Nov. 17) and Midwest Classic (Dec. 15-16), but crossed paths only twice during the two events.
Mercyhurst's
Kevin Kinyua will look to avenge a loss at 157 against James Wimer; Wimer won by decision at the Midwest Classic, 8-7. Meanwhile, at 174, MU's
Kevin Holman fell by pin to UF's Nathan Vandermeer at the Findlay Open, but Vandermeer, who is currently ranked 11th in Division II, has been inactive in each of the Findlay's last two duals.
Mercyhurst will have two nationally-ranked wrestlers on the mat:
Logan Grass, who is sixth at 165, and
Jacob Robb, who is eighth at heavyweight. Although, Findlay has not fielded a heavyweight in each of its two previous duals, either.
