HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- The 22nd-ranked Mercyhurst wrestling team won 3 of 4 matches at the Coker Duals on Saturday. Individual recaps are below.

Mercyhurst 32, Belmont Abbey 12
Gavin Wilkerson recorded the lone pin for Mercyhurst, winning the 174-pound match in 2:27.

Eric Bartos, who is ranked 10th at 125, got the Lakers started with a 16-5 major decision, giving MU an early 4-0 lead.

Mercyhurst benefited from a forfeit and held a 10-6 lead before Kevin Kinyua tacked on four points with a 13-4 major decision at 157.

That began a string of four straight wins for the Lakers as Logan Grass, ranked sixth at 165, followed with a 15-0 technical fall, Wilkerson won and Trevor Johnson (184) took a 7-0 decision. Jacob Robb, ranked eighth at 285, earned a major decision to finish the match.

Mercyhurst 46, Coker 6
The Lakers totaled four pins in the win: Alexis Soriano (133) won in 1:39; Grass (174) was victorious in 2:14; Wilkerson (184) recorded his fall in 3:11; and Robb (285) closed out the contest in 2:42.

Aidan Burke (141) and Trevor Begin (197) added technical-fall victories.

Mercyhurst 30, King (Tenn.) 14
Grass (165) and Robb (285) win via pin for the Lakers.

MU won the first six weight classes, starting with a 8-4 decision win by Bartos. Soriano (133) followed with a 12-3 major decision, Burke (141) took a 2-0 decision, Clark (149) snagged a 7-2 decision and Kinyua (157) recorded a 17-0 technical fall.

Newberry 20, Mercyhurst 17
Bartos, Soriano, Grass and Begin won their individual matches in the Lakers' only team loss of the day.

Bartos (125) won via 18-6 major decision, Soriano (133) earned a narrow 2-1 decision, Grass (165) claimed a 17-0 technical fall and Begin (197) recorded a 16-0 technical fall.
