BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- Kayla Frost and Sangeeta Roopan teamed for the doubles crown during Sunday's action at the conference Singles/Doubles Championships.

The Laker pair won its semifinal matchup against the Indiana (Pa.) pairing of Katya Minchenkova and Julia Newman, 8-1, and then finished the tournament with a final win over Jo Weisen and Carolin Ganahl of California (Pa.).

Mercyhurst had three singles players qualify for the quarterfinals, but none advanced to the semifinals. Athina Tsagkaraki lost to IUP's Newman, 6-2, 6-4; Gordon was eliminated by default against Lacey Cohen of Slippery Rock; and Frost lost a close battle to Edinboro's Laura Lopez, 4-6, 7-6 (5), 10-7.

With the doubles championship, Mercyhurst has won the last two PSAC pairs titles. Last year, Saioa Gomez de Segura and Adina Spahalic were champs.
