ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's tennis team hosted D'Youville on Saturday for their final match of the regular season. After losses to Saint Francis and Chicago State, the Lakers were looking to finish the season on a high note against the Saints.

In singles competition,
Daria Rogova won her opening set 6-3 before dominating in a 6-1 win over the Saints in her final set of the match. On the second court,
Simone Mercier put in a stellar performance with her 6-0 win in her first set and secured the win for the Lakers with a 6-3 set.
Kiersten Brown won in both of her sets by scores of 7-6 with a 7-4 tiebreaker and 6-4.
Ellyana Jacobs competed in a tight match on the fourth court, but fell 7-6 with a 7-4 tiebreaker and 6-4 in the final set.
Celeste Davis put in a strong performance on the fifth court, winning 6-2 and 6-1 in her match.
Mollie Gray wrapped up the singles matches for the Lakers with an opening set win of 6-2. The match was even after falling 6-4 and then Gray came back and defeated her opponent 6-4 in her final set.

In doubles competition, the duo of Mercier and Brown competed on the first court where they fell 6-2. On the second court, Jacobs and Rogova came away with the win for the Blue and Green by a score of 6-4. The last Laker team of Gray and Davis came away with a smooth 6-0 win to wrap up the day for the Hurst.

The Lakers ultimately defeated the Saints 6-1 in their season finale at Westwood Racquet Club.
