ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst baseball team heads south to Wilson, N.C. March 8-11 for a five-game slate against four different teams. First the Lakers will play host team Barton College on Thursday, followed by a double-header against West Virginia State Friday. Mercyhurst will also play PSAC East Division opponents Kutztown on Saturday and Lock Haven on Sunday.

LAKER OUTLOOK
After four-straight wins propelled by pitching to begin the season, Mercyhurst's offense broke out last Sunday with a 21-run output against Penn State Greater Allegheny. The Lakers have seven triples in just five games this season, already surpassing their season total from 2017 (6).
Daniel Elliott continues to pace the lineup with eight hits, including four extra-base knocks, and six RBI. Other regular starters

Alex O'Donnell all sport batting averages over .375 while combining to both score and drive in nine runs. In three starts so far,
Zach Mitchell is batting .429, including his first career round-tripper last Friday.
