SETTING THE SCENE
This series against RIT marks the 33rd and 34th  games of the season for Mercyhurst. It is the final two-game series of the 2017-18 regular season for both the Lakers and Tigers before next weekend's CHA Tournament.

LAST TIME THEY MET
Mercyhurst took down RIT on home ice Jan. 12-13 in the Lakers first home series of 2018.  After falling behind 2-1 at the end of the first period, the Lakers scored six unanswered goals to finish with a season-high seven in a 7-2 win. Mercyhurst followed up with a 4-0 shutout in game two.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Mercyhurst holds a 20-4-0 all-time record against RIT and have outscored the Tigers 94-35 over that span. Mercyhurst's current four-game win streak has seen the Lakers outscored the Tigers 18-4. The Lakers are 9-1 all-time on the road against RIT.

HERE'S THE SITUATION...
Mercyhurst can finish as high as first place in the CHA standings and as low as third. The Lakers give themselves a chance to take the top-seed for next week's tournament with a pair of wins while needing help in other games across the CHA, notably Robert Morris at Syracuse.
NOTE: Playoff seeding will become much clearer after the conclusion of Friday's games. Updated standings and scenarios will be provided in Friday's game story.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
RIT enters the weekend searching for its first win since Nov. 4 (2-1 OT vs. Boston Univ.) and its first CHA win since Oct. 27 (4-3, Lindenwood). The Tigers have lost 11-straight games dating back to a 3-3 tie on Dec. 15 versus Union College.

Junior forward Kendall Cornine is RIT's top scorer this season (10G, 5A) and the Tigers' career leader in points (44 Pts, 102 GP). She has three power-play markers this season and leads the team with 130 shots on goal. RIT's top 8 scorers are forwards.

Juniors Mallory Rushton (4G, 9A), Kandice Sheriff (3G, 7A), and freshman Brittney Gout (4G, 8A) are the only other Tigers with double-digits points. Sophomore goaltender Terra Lanteigne has spent the majority of time in between the pipes for the Tigers with 19 starts. She has a .912 save-percentage and a 3.58 GAA.
