Perreault, Rhéaume; Daughters of NHLers Record First Collegiate Goals Together

ERIE, Pa. – Best friends and roommates, Liliane Perreault and Alexane Rhéaume both recorded their first collegiate goals on Sunday during the Lakers' 5-0 win over Lindenwood.
 
Perreault and Rhéaume have known each other for a number of years and both come from a great hockey blood line.
 
Perreault is daughter to Yanic Perreault who played 13 seasons in the NHL. He played 859 regular season games while recording 247 goals and 269 assists for 516 points. During those 13 years he played for; Toronto, Los Angeles, Montréal, Nashville, Phoenix and Chicago. Yanic appeared in 54 post season games while tallying 11 goals and 19 assists for 30 points. He had the league's best face-off percentage for eight years and played in the NHL All-Star Game in 2006-07. Yanic was drafted 47 over all (third round), in 1991 by Toronto. He has been the development coach for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Rockford Icehogs (AHL) since 2013. This year he is also coaching the Chicago Mission Bantam Minor AAA team.
 
Rhéaume is daughter to, NHLer, Pascal Rhéaume and niece to Manon Rhéaume who was the first and only women's ice hockey player to dress and play in an NHL exhibition game. Pascal appeared in 318 games while recording 39 goals and 52 assists for 91 points during his NHL regular season career. During post season, he picked up three goals and six assists for nine points in 45 games. Pascal won the Stanley Cup Championship with the New Jersey Devils during the 2002-2003 season. During his playing career he was on the rosters of; New Jersey, St. Louis, Atlanta (Thrashers), Chicago, New Yorker (Rangers) and Phoenix. He is now the head coach of the Val-d'Or Foreurs of the QMSHL.
 
Manon Rhéaume was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning as a free agent and played in an exhibition game in both 1992 and 1993. She won two gold medals at the World Championships in 1991-92 and 1993-94. Manon also played in the 1997-98 Olympic Games, earning a silver medal with Team Canada, while putting forth the tournament's best goals against average (0.87) and save percentage (.944).

Liliane and Alexane have made their presence known on the Lakers bench playing in all 12 games of the season so far. Both have recorded one goal and one assist. Liliane has recorded eight shots on net while Alexane has four shots on goal and five blocked shots.
