MILLERSVILLE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst wrestling team defeated Millersville, 35-5, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference matchup on Friday.

Aidan Burke and Gavin Wilkerson recorded pinfalls at 141 and 174, respectively, while 12th-ranked Logan Grass knocked off a fellow ranked opponent at 165.

Eric Bartos, who is ranked eighth at 125, got the Lakers started with a major decision before Alexis Soriano (133) tacked on a decision victory of his own.

Then, Burke recorded his pinfall of Alex Jablonski in 1:22 to get the Lakers to a 13-0 lead.

Michael Clark had a decision at 149 and Kevin Kinyua finished a major decision at 157 before Grass earned a decision over fourth-ranked Ruhnke, 10-3, in the 165 match.

Wilkerson pinned Reece Muldoon in 2:36 at 174 and Trevor Begin recorded a decision at 184.

Jacob Robb, rated sixth in the heavyweight class, finished the match with a decision victory.

Colton Dull, who is No. 6 at 197, recorded the lone victory for Millersville (1-3, 0-3) via technical fall.

The Lakers (1-0, 1-0) will return to action on Saturday with an 7 p.m. contest at Shippensburg.
