WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst baseball team had game one of its Saturday doubleheader against California (Pa.) suspended in the top of the fourth inning due to inclement weather. The Lakers led the Vulcans 7-5 before the umpires decided to stop play. 

In addition, the Lakers' and Vulcans doubleheader scheduled for tomorrow, May 7, has been canceled. The Lakers have already secured the top-bid in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Division for next week's playoffs. The Vulcans have been eliminated from postseason contention.
