The Mercyhurst women's water polo team travels to Washington, D.C. and George Washington University for the George Washington Invitational this weekend March 10-11.
 
The Lakers (4-7) are winners of three-straight games. They will face off against Virginia Military Institute on Friday, March 10 at 8 p.m. Friday's game will be followed by two games on Saturday, March 11. One will be against the host, George Washington, at 9:30 a.m. and the other will be at 2:30 p.m. against St. Francis (Pa.).
 
Becky Insalaco leads the Lakers with 33 goals, 26 drawn exclusions, and 19 steals. Jena Clinch has 18 goals and 21 drawn exclusions, while Mackenzie Ryburn is the other Laker with double-digit goals at 14.
