The Mercyhurst baseball team travels to Holly Springs, N.C. to take on Post University Feb. 25-26 in three games. The Lakers play a doubleheader on Saturday starting at noon and a single nine-inning game on Sunday at 10 a.m.
The Lakers (2-1) swept West Virginia State in a doubleheader last weekend before dropping a single contest to Glenville State the next day. All three games were played at Glenville State's home field in Glenville, W.V.
Scouting the Eagles
Post (1-3) has played all four of its game's in Holly Springs to begin the season. They split two games against Le Moyne before being swept in two-straight by East Stroudsburg from the PSAC East Division.
Post has a 6.88 team ERA compared to its opponents 2.83 entering the weekend. The Eagles have thrown 12 different pitchers with each throwing no more than four innings so far.
Laker Outlook
Mercyhurst's lineup has a few hitters on hot streaks to begin the season.
Cameron Balego has five hits in nine at-bats (.556).
Drew Delsignore is hitting .500 (5-10) with three runs batted in and
Sabatino DiNardo III has four hits in nine at-bats (.444), including two doubles.
Russell Lamovec had a fantastic opening start for his Laker career last weekend. He threw six innings of one-hit baseball in a shutout victory against WVSU.
The Lakers' bullpen has yet to give up an earned run this season.

Matthew Keating, and
Andrew Ciolli have held opposing hitters to a .259 batting average (7-27) in seven innings of work.
